At Delta Chapter we are excited to recruit new members to continue the legacy of Alpha Gamma Rho at Purdue University.
We have been building better men since 1911 and now we have an alumni base of over 2000 brothers. We have helped build better men by surrounding each member with brotherhood and living our daily lives according to the promises and values established by our national organization.
A unique aspect about the Delta Chapter of Alpha Gamma Rho is that we are a professional and social fraternity. You may ask yourself, how can you be both? As members of Alpha Gamma Rho our brothers strive to live balanced lives focusing on education first, but also leading healthy social lives, gaining valuable experience by interacting with others across campus.
First and foremost, the main reason that we come to college is to earn a degree and gain high-quality education. At Delta Chapter we take this endeavor very seriously. We are consistently in the top five for average GPA among fraternities each semester at Purdue University, and encourage all members to become involved in club activities corresponding to their major of choice.
Another way that the Alpha Gamma Rho exemplifies professionalism is through our outstanding agriculture alumni base. The chapter holds several events throughout the year where undergraduates have a chance to network and interact with these alumni, as well as many other leading industry professionals. Establishing these connections and relationships is a vital part of our success in helping our members obtain internships and full-time jobs.
Along with taking education very seriously, our fraternity strives to build relationships with other campus organizations as well. Being a part of a large Greek community here at Purdue, allows us to take part in many social activities with other fraternities and sororities. Throughout the year, we are involved in many philanthropic events within the Greek community. In the spring we host our annual Sandy Slam Beach Volleyball philanthropy which raises funds for testicular cancer research and participate in Zeta Tau Alpha’s BMOC competition to raise funds for breast cancer awareness. In the fall we participate in the Light the Night Walk to raise money for Leukemia and Lymphoma research. We also participate in trade dinners with numerous sororities on campus and assist them with their philanthropies as well.
We are always looking forward to find men worthy for the next class of brothers at Delta Chapter. Therefore if you, or someone you know, is interested in learning more about what we have to offer please do not hesitate to contact our recruitment chairs listed below.
